DIGITAL CONTEXT TEACHING: LEARNING TO LEARN IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

摘要
The use of ICTs is necessary for the enhancement of autonomous learning. These new technologies can help learners to control their own learning process. To develop an autonomising competence, we deem necessary to design learning environments or learning activities that promote that students plan, monitor and evaluate their own learning. In this paper we take into consideration the design of a language learning Cybertask which helps students develop an autonomising "wreading" competence [5]. Thus, to read hypertext requires a new approach to language. Along this line, this work focuses on what the students' perceived and demonstrated outcomes are in relation to a digital context Cybertask. To obtain results, a group of university students were selected for the purpose of this study. Finally, considering the results obtained, we may conclude that teachers might approach cybergenres in order to design language learning tasks which inlcude instruction and exercise in the new multiliteracies. Furthermore, we view an open field to explore in foreign language learning.
