摘要：

The innovative applications of OR in the domain of health care system are discussed, to overcome the challenges related to the treatment of patients with very expensive conditions in European health-care systems. The three main problem categories are discussed: Health Care Policy, Treatment Optimization, and Health Care Operations Management. These concerns in detail appear on OR Forum article, or in Forum blog by the experts. The special issue of the article also showcases the innovative OR models that can be used to optimize individual treatments and diagnostics. The important operations management (OM) problems in health care; mostly in health-care delivery, but also in health-care product as drug, development were also discussed. The study focus challenges of health-care systems in US as well as Europe superficially, using rigorous OR models.
