DESIGN OF KANSEI ENGINEERING SYSTEM PRESENTING VIRTUAL TACTILE SENSE THROUGH NETWORKS

摘要
Consumers check not only figuration, color, weight, and others of manufactured products but also tactile feelings for them, so tactile feelings make a big impact on consumers' Kansei for products. Then, A VR-based Kansei engineering system for custom kitchen presenting not only visual not also tactile sense is proposed and its prototype is developed in this paper. We apply the method of presenting virtual haptic texture in the previous study to a traditional Kansei engineering system which visualizes target's design based on the design rules. This approach leads the user to watch the design explaining Kansei which the user demands and to touch one of the parts of virtual design. Furthermore, a haptic browser and the tentative e-commerce Web site are tried to develop to propose the function which acquire argument values of haptic parameters from the Kansei database server. The function enables the user to feel different tactile sense from each product in the site over a network.
