摘要
A crystal plasticity finite element method (CPFEM) model has been developed to study the texture evolution of Al single crystal pressed through a bent channel with equal cross-section for the first time. The equivalent strain rate distribution in the billet shows two major plastic deformation zones at the entry and exit of the bent channel. The crystallographic orientation is inhomogeneous along the billet thickness in the bent region. The orientation rotation angle around the transverse direction in the vicinity of the outer channel surface is about 20 degrees greater than that near the inner channel surface. However, the crystallographic orientation becomes homogenous when the billet leaves the bent region. This results in a single crystal in the deformed billet with an orientation rotation angle of approximately 90 degrees around the transverse direction.
