Modelling of heat transfer in Taylor flow in microchannels

摘要
A novel approach of modelling heat transfer in Taylor flow is presented. The model addresses especially the applications of Lab-On-a-Chip systems and focuses on the thermal behavior of individual droplets. Based on model approximations the simulational model is simpler than that of CFD simulations gaining 400 times shorter simulation times. A test case for constant wall heat flux boundary condition is performed. The results are compared to CFD results from the literature and reflect good correlation.
