摘要
Structural and catalytic properties of sulfonic acid functionalised silica mesostructured cellular foams (MCFs) prepared using different precursors of sulfonic acid groups have been investigated. Catalytic activity tested in the esterification of butanol with acetic acid was found to decrease in the order MCF-et-ph-SO3H > MCF-ph-SO3H > MCF-propyl-SO3H. Owing to excellent structural stability, the catalysts developed can be used repeatedly without loss of activity during several cycles.
