摘要
Fiber Optic Surface Plasmon Resonance (FO-SPR) biosensors are practical miniature sensors that provide real-time monitoring and label-free detection of the concentration of a desired analyte for remote in situ use. These sensors utilize Surface Plasmon Waves (SPWs) excited at a Metal-Dielectric Interface (MDI). In our paper, we explain the background theory of SPWs, operation principle, conventional system design and performance parameters of FO-SPR sensors.
