摘要
In this work, a novel wideband bandpass filter is introduced. This contribution employs multiple-mode resonator (MMR) to design the bandpass filter with focus on achieving compact size and good filter performance. Three circular impedance open stubs are used in the proposed filter structure which constitute the MMR. The stepped impedance stubs are placed in shunt to a microstrip line with high impedance. The input and output sides contains two inter-digital coupled lines which enhances the degree of coupling. The return loss is measured higher than 15.0 dB in the passband 4.82 to 12.30 GHz. The prototype also exhibits a fractional bandwidth of 87.3%. Theoretical realization of the demonstrated filter manifests a good wideband bandpass behavior with optimized dimensions.
