摘要
The effects of Mn and Ce on the Fe-rich intermetallics in secondary Al-Si alloys were studied. Microstructure morphology and phase-transition temperature of samples were examined and analyzed by optical microscope (OM), scanning electric microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC). The results show that when Mn content was 1wt%, the primary alpha-Fe was formed in the alloys. At the same time, the addition of 0.1wt% Ce could cause a great increase of primary alpha-Fe particles.
