摘要
The current paper presents the authors' views about key indicators for sustainability of the pre- and in-service teachers of Mathematics. It describes the trends for stable development of teachers of Mathematics in space and over time by means of the Buxton Index and dollar coefficient. The authors present their experiment to achieve a higher level of sustainability by applying innovative teaching approaches supported by ICTs. The experiment has been held in MCs program Technology of Education in Mathematics and Informatics. The authors conclude that a synergy between ICTs and specific educational approaches - heuristic research and project-based learning - provide a more pragmatic, ready-to-use education which ensures career and professional knowledge and skills to achieve an adequate social status of the learners.
