Asymmetric Transmission through Chiral Symmetry Breaking in Planar Metamaterials

摘要
We report that small chiral asymmetry of the unit cell of planar metamaterials leads to strong resonant asymmetric transmission for circularly polarized light due to excitation of enantiomerically sensitive trapped modes. (c) 2007 Optical Society of America
