Ion-molecular equilibria between fullerenes and their difluorides in the gas phase

The "fullerene extract-UO2F2-KF'' system was studied by means of Knudsen Cell Mass-Spectrometry. The molecules and negative ions of fullerene difluorides (from C60F2 to C84F2) together with the parent fullerenes were observed in the gas phase in the temperature range 902K - 1009K. The electron affinities of some fullerene difluorides and enthalpies of fluorine exchange between fullerene difluorides and fullerene anions were determined.
