摘要
Gas sensor array technology, sometimes referred to as "electronic nose technology" has, over the past five years, seen application in a variety of industrial settings. The ability to rapidly detect; classify and often quantitate odor instrumentally has generated interest in areas ranging from food and beverage to environmental and defense. There exists a growing interest in the application of the technology to environmental related areas, including indoor air quality. This paper discusses the fundamentals of gas sensor array technology, the current practical limitations and applications relevant to indoor air quality.
