Measurements of Temperature-gradient and Sensible Heat Flux by Optical Method in Remote Areas

摘要
A new optical method for continuous field measurement of temperature-gradient and sensible heat flux is described and field results are presented. Temperature-gradient is calculated from the vertical shifts of the images position recorded by a CCD camera. The Large Aperture Scintillometer(LAS) simultaneously measures the structure parameter of the refractive index of air. Using temperature-gradient, the structure parameter of the refractive index of air and Monin-Obukhov Similarity Theory, sensible heat flux can be derived without wind speed. The performance of the optical system was investigated using data gathered during the FENGQIU experiment. The results showed this optical method is entirely possible to measure temperature gradient and sensible heat flux. The new method will expand application of LAS in the particular filed.
