摘要
The main goal of this paper is to determine the pedestrian visibility using photo processing on the lower parts of the pedestrian, at different distances and to determine how much is the pedestrian visibility influenced by the upcoming traffic. The second objective of the paper is to determine the safe speed in order to avoid an accident during night-time. For this experiment 5 vehicles were used, one from which the data was collected, called source vehicle, and the remaining ones were positioned on the opposite lane in order to simulate oncoming traffic. Using different test scenarios, data was collected and processed in order to obtain relevant conclusions.
