摘要
The transmittance of conventional chevron-typed microdomain vertical alignment (MVA) mode has been investigated to be maintained by specific indium-tin-oxide (ITO) slit patterns of ridge-free VA (RVA) display. With the evidences from a series of designed patterns, the transmittance is elevated 30% upon the specific dendritic ITO slit design of RVA mode. In addition to the transmittance, the contrast ratio (CR) is anticipated to be elevated to larger than 1000 and the response time of interest is accelerated to less than 30ms.
