Some aspects of the problem of the norm in clinical psychology

The paper looks at theoretical and applied aspects of the problem of the norm in various areas of psychology, analyzing specificity of the clinical pathological approach to studying the psychological norm, as well as evolution of understanding of the relation between the normal and the pathological, and evaluating advantages and limitations of existing interpretations of the notion. Special attention is paid to the way the category of the norm is treated in classical and modem neuropsychological studies.
