Journalism in the movies

Journalism has been a continual source of fascination for Hollywood. This article analyzes how the journalism movie genre has portrayed the news media over the years. It explores whether these movies criticize journalism or celebrate it. The article suggests that the movies' relationship to the press reflects a fundamentally ambivalent relationship between the press and the broader culture.
