Skills increase the ability to innovate and adopt new technologies making the difference between inclusive growth and growth that leaves large segments of society behind. In low-income countries, scarcity of workers with relevant education and demonstrated skills constrains growth of the productive formal economy. There will be a shortage of Global skilled manpower by 56.5 million by 2020 out of which India will be in a position to supply 47 million skilled manpower.
