摘要
Interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) hydrogels composed of poly(acrylic acid) and polyacrylonitrile were prepared with UV irradiation, and their bending behaviors between two electrodes were studied under various conditions. The swelling ratio of the IPN hydrogels decreased with an increasing NaCl concentration in an aqueous solution. The fastest bending speed was observed in a gel synthesized in a 0.6 wt % NaCl aqueous solution. As the applied voltage increased, the bending speed increased. The deformation of the IPN hydrogels was reversible when the applied voltage was turned on and off. (C) 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
