摘要：
The paper presents the results of a survey on geotechnical engineering education in Europe, initiated and conducted by the author. 98 answers from 24 countries were received. Main data are summarized and briefly commented. It results that at the first degree level geotechnical engineering is well represented in most cases in the curricula, both in terms of the number of subjects and in terms of the volume of contact hours. Also, at postgraduate level, a great number of MSc - type and Doctoral programmes were recorded in geotechnical engineering field.
