Oxidation resistance of double titanium-chromium carbide powders

摘要
Oxidation kinetics data are given for double titanium-chromium carbides containing 18-37% Cr used in air at 600-1000 degrees C. The oxidation extents for the titanium and chromium have been estimated frp, the data on the increase in specimen mass and reduction in total carbon content The activation energy has been determined for the initial oxidation stage, which follows a parabolic law. The oxidation resistance increases with the chromium content.
