摘要
Study of light in a material of alcoholic group has been made. Its results have been compared with silica fibers. Pentenol filled structures find to be applicable for non-linear applications. Its reports zero dispersion up to the wavelength of 1.675 mu m and negative dispersion beyond that. Silica fibers have comparatively high birefringence with low loss. Besides normalized frequency and effective mode area has been studied.
