Organising the MuCEM's collections: a long-term project

The MuCEM has progressively reorganised all its collections and holdings, reviewing their status and drawing up a complete inventory of their mode of accession and the history of their processing and conservation. This huge task has been carried out on the entirety of the museum's collections: objects, iconography, photographs, the library, audio and audiovisual recordings, paper-based records... At the outcome of the project all the documentation on the collections was made available on line, on the portal of the museum's website. Now transferred to the MuCEM's new Conservation and Resource Centre (CCR), the collections benefit from an environment specially designed to facilitate access and circulation.
