Comparative study of lighting quality and energy efficiency for various road lighting situations

摘要
For road lighting, the main factors directly influencing on the energy performance of lighting, and consequently reducing the consumption of energy, are, among others, the kind of light sources and luminaires and the geometry of positioning of light sources in relation to the road. The article presents a comparative analysis of various lighting solutions for a specific road section, taking into account the energy performance criterion. The evaluation covers various lighting systems with luminaires that use high pressure sodium lamps and LED lamps illuminating roads mainly for medium and high speed motorized traffic.
