"Learning to read the myth". Poetics and rewriting

As in the '80s German speaking writers rediscover antique myths, the rewriting seems to lack implicitness given that alongside fiction they publish diaries, notebooks, lectures on poetry and letters, that simultaneously justify and question the new mythological narratives. Thus, a real model of the re-appropriation of antique myths is developing in the conflation of reading and creating. In doing so, the indefiniteness that the authors find in the tradition becomes one of the most important aspects of their poetic research, that last but not least signifies a search for a new kind of thinking and writing.
