Rooting of mini-cuttings and micro-cuttings of Eucalyptus urophylla x E. globulus and Eucalyptus grandis x E. globulus

摘要
The objective of the present work was to evaluate the effect of indol-3-butiyric acid (IBA) on the rooting of mini-cuttings and micro-cuttings (apical and intermediate stems), as well as the speed of rooting in the greenhouse of two clones of Eucalyptus urophylla x E. globulus and two of Eucalyptus grandis x E. globulus. The evaluation of the effect of AIB was done at the time of leaving the greenhouse (30 days) and shade house (40 days) and also in the phase of growth in full sun condition at 60 days. The evaluation of rooting speed was carried out during the 35 days of permanence of mini-cuttings and micro-cuttings in the greenhouse. The IBA had no special effect on the survival, rooting and vigor of the mini-cuttings and micro-cuttings. The apical cuttings were more prone to rooting when compared to the intermediate ones. The speed of rooting of mini-cuttings and micro-cuttings was variable among clones. The micro-cutting technique was superior to the mini-cutting only for certain parameters evaluated for each clone. However, micro-cuttings rooted faster than mini-cuttings suggesting greater micro-cuttings vigor, as compared to the mini-cuttings.
