摘要
This paper examines the improvements of network performance attained when incorporating advanced antenna technologies in WiMAX network design. Several deployments scenarios are chosen to compare mobile WiMAX network performance using Single Input Single Output (SISO) and Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO). SISO and MIMO performance is studied utilizing different frequency reuse schemes (1X3X1) and (1X3X3) with various bandwidth (BW) and spectrum allocations. Performance improvement from MIMO are compared against performance improvements obtained from additional spectrum acquisition.
