摘要
The environmental effect from shipping is an area of focus for the maritime industry and for external stakeholders. Even though there are many tools, methods and initiatives, there is still a lack of a holistic approach. This paper presents existing environmental assessment tools and introduces systems engineering as a holistic approach to life cycle designs. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
