The study on Investigation of Entrepreneurial Environment in Wuhan

This paper uses the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) model and research methods, through questionnaires and experts interviews, to study Wuhan entrepreneurial environment in 2006. Survey results show that Wuhan entrepreneurial environment has comparative advantages in Physical Infrastructure, Government Programmes, Research and Development Transfer, Market Openness/Barriers to Entry Whereas the Finance Support, Cultural and Social Norms, Education and Training, Commercial and Professional Infrastructure and Government Policies need urgent improvement. This paper focusing on Wuhan entrepreneurial environment problems put foreward measures and proposals to provide basis for decision-making for the government and relevant departments, optimize entrepreneurial environment and improve the success rate of entrepreneurial activities.
