摘要
The article is concerned with the concept of (sic)the voice of conscience < in Kant's and Schiller's prose writings. Considering recent theory, it is asked how the voice of conscience is conceptualised in a modern context within the medium of prose at the end of the 18th century. With the rise of modern subjectivity, the reflection about conscience as an inner voice that is not of the own subject but that still lies within it and that co-determines its actions poses several challenges that are addressed in different manners. It will be investigated whether there are possibilities for communication about modern conscience on the basis of a reflection about it as a non-representable voice that functions as a substantive condition of the possibility of free subjectivity.
