The ieee consumer electronics (CE) society is focused on end users. The CE industry sells stories of products and benefits. The story for the Internet of Things (IoT) has three parts: utility, connectivity, and trust. Our industry will find that this story will be difficult to fulfill. © 2012 IEEE.
