Cutting Parameters and Tool Geometry Parameters Optimization Modeling for Low-Carbon NC Turning Process

摘要
The selection of cutting parameters and cutting tool geometry parameters during turning operation affects machining efficiency, quality and carbon emissions in the manufacturing process. On the basis of analyzing the relations among energy consuming, working hour and cutting parameters, tool geometry parameters, this paper presents an optimization model of cutting and tool geometry parameters for low-carbon turning, which takes the cutting speed, feed rate and rake angle as the optimization variables, the carbon emission as the optimization objectives. Finally, an application case is given to illustrate the proposed model and method. The results show that the total time and carbon emission significantly decrease. The model may provide supports for selecting optimal cutting and tool geometry parameters for low-carbon manufacturing requirements.
