摘要
Edward Said, after tracing the development of orientalism, revealed that intellectuals and writers have contributed a lot to the construction and consolidation of orientalism. Until now, some Westerners still hold such kind of prejudice that people in the East are superstitious, irrational, uneducated and puerile. They even take the advantages of medium and some other means to strengthen the "other" of the oriental culture. Some Chinese American women writers have done something unconsciously for the Westerners. The current paper is an exploration of how some women writers present the Chinese culture in their works through the following three aspects: ancestor worship, Yinyang-Wuxing theories and Fengshui.
