摘要
This paper presents an application of lifting, the new integer-based wavelets, to knowledge discovery of microarray data. Microarrays can contain expression profiles for thousands of genes on a single chip. Analysis of microarrays, which includes clustering, aid.; researchers in better understanding of genetic behavior under specific circumstances and can lead to the development of new treatments and diagnostics. This paper demonstrates how lifting schemes can be used to make microarray analysis more efficient by reducing the amount of data necessary to perform clustering.
