摘要
Objectives: Following the enhancing of ecological disasters due to dams environmental impacts, important issues caused by human activity appeared in water quality management. The paper highlights some aspects of dam construction effects on reservoir water quality evolution in three case studies from Romania. Prior work: A situation of water quality evolution in reservoir is required in order to use these data in modeling programs to predict water quality for a long period of time from now on, useful in new methods and technologies development for quality protection. Design/Methodology/Approach: Water quality state in the reservoirs was evaluated by interpreting the results of physic-chemical and biological samples that were taken from monitoring stations. Results/Acknowledgements: For future generations to enjoy such finite resources there is a need for sustainable exploitation with recycling the used resources, achieved through water management. Implications: The water quality is affected by natural or anthropogenic factors, so it is necessary to adopt a water integrated management system which includes all domains at international level. Originality value: New ways of handling this ecological risk are mentioned in this paper and in the same time a situation of water quality evolution from the creation of the reservoirs until present is presented.
