摘要
Teaching and learning for engineering students have changed during the latest decades for several reasons. Universities and companies are more international than ever, and technology and science is so complex today, that an engineer cannot work alone, but has to work in teams that usually are international. Denmark was one of the first countries to implement the changes, and we have much experience about the "new" learning methods in Denmark. Based upon this experience, we have since 1995 had an exchange semester called "European Project Semester", EPS. In the EPS international engineering students work and study in international, interdisciplinary teams, usually in cooperation with industry. An important benefit is that students really interact with students from other cultures. It means that they get a very international experience, and we have received many very positive statements from EPS-students and from the universities that send students to the EPS.
