摘要：
Definition and main characteristics of location-based services with emphasis on its core component - an Internet/Web GIS are presented in this paper. The iSTOMM - a framework for Internet/Web GIS application development is introduced as collection of spatio-temporal data modeling and management tools and techniques for design and implementation of location-based services. Two prototype location-based services intended for: yellow pages and vehicle tracking and navigation are currently under development around iSTOMM framework.
