摘要：

Stress intensity factor solutions are available for semi-elliptical surface cracks under different stress distributions. But in most cases, only the two values at the deepest point and at the surface points are reported. A simple method is proposed, which allows the stress intensity factor to be estimated at other points of the crack front as well.
