The Development of an Interstate Standard on the Procedure for Checking Gas Analyzers and Gas Alarms of Combustible Gases and the Vapors of Inflammable Liquids

The main reasons for the development of an international standard, establishing a procedure for checking gas-analyzers and gas alarms of combustible gases and the vapors of inflammable liquids in the air of a working region, are considered. The main attention is devoted to choosing checking instruments, including gaseous mixtures containing the determined and/or the checking component, and also the use of conversion factors on the checking component. Procedures for determining the errors of these measuring instruments at increased and reduced temperatures, corresponding to the operating conditions, are described.
