A fiber optic pulsed magnetic-field sensor based on magneto-optic effect

摘要
A fiber optic pulsed magnetic-field sensor based on Faraday magneto-optic effect is described in this paper. Its dynamic range is better than 70dB within the nonlinearity of 5% and its noise equivalent magnetic flux density is about 1.5 x 10(-6) T. By the method of frequency spectrum analyse, the frequency response characteristic of the sensor is measured and its -3dB bandwidth is about 200kHz. The experiment results indicate that the sensor can be used for pulsed magnetic field or current measurements.
