摘要
The main objective is. to study the relationship between regional clustering and innovative practices in a firm-level approach. It develops a conceptual framework explaining the formation of clusters knowledge systems based on the heterogeneity of the firm's knowledge bases. The region of Beira Interior (Portugal) is used as a case study to explore characteristics between clusters. This paper makes statements about the role of clusters in the regional context, and demonstrates how clustering approach is important to understand the innovative process this will also enable, us to formulate strategic measures to increase the innovation competences of the region in study.
