摘要：
The problems of interpreting and calculating the index of an economic value added (EVA) are considered. The author's interpretation of this notion is given, the investigation of some approaches to the calculation of this index is carried out, the author's alternative of calculating the weighted average cost of capital that takes into account the properties of taxation in the Russian Federation is presented. In addition, the principles of translating indices from English into Russian are suggested.
