The individual as a group member: Stereotypes and prejudice in an inter-group context

The objective in the introduction of this special issue about inter-group relations will be to give an overview of the most significant work in this domain through the presentation of concepts and fundamental processes in social psychology at a group level. The different authors contributing to this issue will be situated in the approaches which have been developed to this day, which should allow both the highlighting of their original contributions in this vast field of research, and the demonstration of the dynamism of thought and of current work dealing with this fundamental theme.
