An Antenna with Butterfly-Shaped Pattern Applied in Grain Moisture's Measurement

摘要
The online measurement method of moisture content for grains before being warehoused is at the research hotspot. Recently, the technology of microwave draws more focus on the application in moisture measuring. For more samples from the same facet, the operation process puts forward a requirement for the antenna to have a special pattern of saucer shape. Meanwhile, the bandwidth ought to meet the expectation of broadband. This paper provided a three-element structured antenna array. The asymmetrical structure possessed a bandwidth of nearly 1 GHz, a gain over 7 dB and a particular pattern of butterfly shape. For a higher gain with over 10 dB, a further antenna with six elements which came from two of the given three-element structured antenna was also provided. The simulation results were also given. The antenna models possessed special patterns, wide bands, and proper gains. Not only be suitable for a grain mass thickness of over 5 cm, but the antennas could gather more data for a wide range of the mass. They really fit the needs of warehousing entry for grain.
