Fiber laser mode cleaning by frequency locking to a fiber ring cavity

摘要
We use a passive, high Q, ring resonator as a mode cleaner to suppress laser intensity noise by actively frequency lock a fiber laser, enabling a stabilized output that approaches the shot noise limit over most of its spectrum.
