摘要
Variant design is a technique based on assembly model which can be used in product development to satisfy the rapid respond to the changing market. In this paper, the basic principle of variant design for complicated product is discussed, which is based on the variant relation and analysis of three-dimensional virtual simulation and finite element model. The modeling method for variant design is studied, the relationships of dimensional parameter in variant model were established. The main structure of a variant design platform for complicated product was proposed and established, which could fulfil the functions of variant design and analysis for product development. Case based reasoning method was used in the platform. Adopting Visual C#, SQL sever database and interface technique of CATIA and ANSYS, a variant design platform of concrete mixer station is developed as a case study.
