WEB 2.0: INNOVATIVE EXPERIENCE IN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION THROUGH SOCIAL NETWORKS

This work aims to create a social network in the setting of University of Huelva through a multidisciplinary faculty. Its starting point is the knowledge society where information technology and communications give rise to multiple forms of communication and learning. Higher Education, as a space of knowledge management, facilitates the development of innovative methodologies that makes teaching the key tool for the transmission of knowledge. We will start with the definition of social network, and its history and application in the field of education. We will try to use available telematic resources at the University of Huelva and with them create a web 2.0 space in which the students together with teachers will be able to create social networks tailored to a particular topic and directed to specific groups. This will allow the specialization of the members themselves without external interference from other social networks.
