摘要
Fractured basement reservoir developed within the fresh basement. The fresh basement usually comprised of crystalline rocks, either metamorphic or igneous rock. This reservoir generally has fractures as its porosity to contain hydrocarbons. Indonesia has potential resources of fractured basement reservoirs, including the Jambi sub-Basin in the northern part of the South Sumatra Basin. Detecting fractures in the basement is not easy. In general, a seismic section has a low resolution for this target. In addition to a very deep basement position, the size of the structures itself is very small, and the massive rock lithology, all become a major constraint. In this study, we offer the 'ant tracking' attribute integrated with FMI image as well as the resistivity log to indicate the presence of fractures basement. The attribute is run three times and resulting in the images of fractures on 3D seismic data, which are dominated with NE-SW orientation and minor NW-SE orientation. Fracture orientation is confirmed by the FMI image of "POME-1" well that is aligned in a NE-SW direction. The high resistivity on the resistivity log indicates hydrocarbon content in the identified fractures.
