摘要
With regard to PM emission reduction, systematic design of both electrostatic precipitator (ESP) and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) benefits not only SO2 but also PM10 and PM2.5 (particles with diameters of less than 2.5 and 10 mu m) emission control. For our 330-660 MW coal-fired boilers, PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations at the ESP outlet are usually below 2.5 and 20 mg/m(3), respectively. Their concentrations at the FGD outlet are usually below 2.5 and 5 mg/m(3), respectively. For colder-side ESPs with a specific collection area of not less than 100 m(2)/m(3)/s, the PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations can be controlled to be below 10 and 1.0 mg/m(3), respectively. In comparison with traditional ESP at 120-140 degrees C energized by single-phase transformer reactifers (T/Rs), PM10 and PM2.5 emissions are usually reduced by a factor of 10 by using three-phase T/Rs.
